IX. Japanese seaplanes attack Chinese positions. Nakajima E8N2 takes off from Lake P'o Yang hu in order to attack enemy targets approximately 100 kilometres west of Chiu-Chiang on the Yangtse River. Three E8N2s fly in formation before peeling away and bombing target.

X. U-boat construction and launching. General scenes of soldering and riveting in one of the German submarine yards where output is running at capacity. Type VII U-boats are launched, one stern first and another sideways. One has a bowcutter.

Aerial view of Vittorio Veneto and sea-level bow views of Andrea Doria and Giulio Cesare represent the Italian naval force which reportedly engaged a British squadron south of Sardinia. Forward twin and triple and rear triple turrets open fire and shells land in sea. Unsteady film shows two destroyer escorts manoeuvring at speed. (Presumably represents Operation Collar of Cape Teulada.)

Photo reconnaissance camera is placed in Messerschmitt Bf 110 of Aufklärungsgruppe 14, which taxies before flying over the English Channel and landing back at base. Camera magazine is removed and film developed. Magnification reveals damage to port (Southampton) and Lympne Airfield, bombed the previous day.
