At Führer's request remains of Napoleon I's son the Duke of Reichstadt are removed from Vienna to Paris for reinterment in dome of Les Invalides. Hearse moves through streets of Vienna before sarcophagus is placed in train at Westbahnhof before assembled Nazi dignitaries. In Paris Admiral Darlan and General Laure head torchlit procession towards dome, where French officers are flanked by their German counterparts. Ceremony continues in daylight, as Darlan and Laure, flanked by German Ambassador Otto Abetz and another representative of the German Foreign Office pass Garde Nationale.

Construction worker Pierre Duval of 27 rue Montmartre signs up to work in Elmshorn. German Red Cross (?) nurses distribute loaves to workers about to leave by train for Germany. Two Frenchmen kiss each other farewell.
