Chief of Gioventù Italiana del Littorio and his Rumanian counterpart General Sidorovici arrive to inspect the Academy for training German Youth. The Italian looks on as teenage girls of the Bund deutscher Mädel fence and perform eurythmics.

(Reel 2) XI. Von Brauchitsch lays wreath on Western Front. On the eve of Heroes Memorial Day, Commander-in-Chief of Army lays wreath on snow-covered cemetery on Western Front. Camera pans from Christian cross outside church to approach of von Brauchitsch, accompanied by two other generals, who are photographed by soldier (presumably Propaganda Kompanie) with Leica. Grave of soldier Paul Olbrich.

XII. German leaders commemorate Heroes' Memorial Day. Commemoration starts in Arsenal, where Hitler mounts podium to deliver speech to assembled ranks of dignitaries: Goering, Raeder, von Brauchitsch, Keitel, veteran Germanophile Swedish explorer Sven Hedin, Himmler, Goebbels, Chancellory State Secretary Meissner, Kesselring, SA Chief Lutze, Security Service chief Heydrich. Recorded sound as Hitler declares that as a veteran of the Great War he calls upon providence to allow Germany's national struggle an honourable outcome. He concludes "Today we must therefore swear a solemn oath: the war forced upon Germany by the capitalist leaders of France and England must end in the most glorious victory in German history". Hitler followed by his three service chiefs and Chief of the High Command of the Wehrmacht Keitel then reviews the Guard of Honour of the Berlin Wachregiment drawn up outside the Arsenal on Under den Linden. Cameraman with Arriflex films the scene as national anthem is played. Hess salutes, then Hitler with service chiefs moves towards memorial on Under den Linden to lay wreath. Hitler exchanges a few words with wounded soldiers who are seated, then marchpast by branches of all services begins as band plays "Lied von Guten Kamerad". Hitler takes salute from podium. Item concludes by fading from German imperial flag to swastika.

Pennons indicate seven ships sunk, and commentary claims 45,000 tons on last voyage and 20,000 in total. Bearded crew wave, then Korvetten Kapitän Hartmann disembarks and stands talking to officers ashore. Smiling Hartmann surrounding his crew holds up a little girl (possibly his daughter).
