Aerial view of oil rig. Helicopter lands on. Shot of cameramen lined up beside helipad. RN officer salutes as Princess Anne, dressed in pink trouser suit and hat with white buckle, alights from helicopter and shakes hands with officials. Scenes of drilling operations; Princess, now dressed in white protective suit with helmet, observes. Cut to royal party ascending metal staircase and walking across gantry - drilling platform in background has AMOCO sign on it. Passing storage areas. Shot of starling perched on red pipeline. Anne, back in her pink suit and hat, shakes hands with another official. Helicopter being prepared - close-up of badge of Queen's Flight on side. Cut to shot of car, flying Royal Standard, with Princess Anne inside, pulling up on wet parade ground - men on parade in background. Officer standing to attention shouts "Present - arms!" (the only spoken words to be heard in the film). Anne is led by senior army officer onto parade ground. Close-up of officer's hands holding small silver tray bearing badge of dragon (a gift for the Princess?) held in soldier's hands. Band plays as Anne climbs into a weatherproofed podium to watch marchpast. Cut to the Princess in battle fatigues on an army testing ground, being shown a Chieftain tank called "The Princess Anne"; she is introduced to the tank's crew (Thomas and Baker, according to lapel badges) then dons gloves and climbs onto the tank to sit in a turret seat. Close-up of tank's badge. "The Princess Anne" is joined on the testing ground by other tanks, including "Redeemer VI", a modified Chieftain personnel carrier. (Abrupt end.)
