Dramatised training film focused on survival techniques required by downed pilots.
Canadian North – tough to life in, tougher to explore. Dramatised stories - first about an experienced pilot Flying Officer Glen Douglas, having to survive in the extremes of northern Canada in winter after crash landing in the snow. Failure to follow survival training resulted in him succumbing to the environment. Another pilot's story - Charlie Parker baled out of his F-86. Landing in the forest he tries to hike out – again failure to follow basic guidelines results in death. Case number three, Flying Officer Steven Franklin, always keen to add to his knowledge base survives his crash by putting into practice all he has learnt demonstrating how preparation can increase the chances of survival.
