HMS RESOLUTION TESTS MISSILE EJECTION SYSTEM AND TAKES ONBOARD A POLARIS MISSILE [Allocated Title]

While alongside, HMS Resolution test fires the Polaris missile ejection system and takes onboard a containerised missile.

Reel One. HA onto afterbody of HMS Resolution lying alongside - two of the hatches over the Polaris missile tubes are open - they both close and a third opens. The missile ejection system is dry tested, producing a small but spectacular explosion - the hatch closes on the still-smoking missile compartment. Another hatch opens. Reel Two. HA as a containerised Polaris is lifted by dockyard crane off of its truck transporter and swung across, ready to be lowered into one of the submarine's missile tubes. On deck, men pull on lines to help centre the missile over the launch tube.
