Wessex helicopters operating out of Nanga Gaat pick up Malay soldiers and transport them 2,000 feet up into the Sarawak hills, where the troops rope down into a jungle clearing to start a patrol.

Aerial views of the base at Nanga Gaat. Camera-aircraft and a companion (recognition letter 'O') fly over jungle terrain to the pick up point, a log pad located in a bend in a river. Air and ground shots show the Malay troops being picked up in a touch-and go landing. Aerial view shows helicopter 'O' rising up through the tree tops after the pick up.
