Full description
(i) HA aerial MS onto forebody of a Whirlwind in flight over sea - a MATRA 2-inch rocket launcher is mounted on the side of the helicopter's nose. The rockets are fired and the camera pans to explosions in the sea below. Aerial views of the Far East Fleet - LS of HMS Albion, and pan left to HMS Duchess (D.154), HMS Salisbury (F.32), and a Ca Class anti-submarine destroyer escort. XLS of a Type 15 frigate and pan right to the cruiser HMS Lion (C.34). The ships get underway. Whirlwind returns to Albion. LS of the fleet in line ahead, Albion in the van. (ii) Inspection of Albion by senior flag officer, perhaps the C-in-C Far East Fleet. March past of men and marines on the flightdeck. (iii) LS over surrounding jungle terrain as a Wessex flies in and takes up a position over the range. A puff of smoke indicates that the helicopter has fired a missile, and the camera pans to follow the SS.11's flight to its target, one of two old Daimler armoured cars, where it explodes. A second missile hits the ground short of the targets, throwing up a cloud of dust. A third missile explodes against the second hulk. Cut to the target area where men have gathered to inspect the armoured cars - they examine the holes torn in the armour plate and pick up fragments of the debris.
