MS as beach group troops unload medical supplies from a DUKW of 633 GT Company RASC, and transfer them to a medical tent. Wounded on stretchers are handed up into the DUKW. MCU of wounded (from 1st Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment and KOSB ?) in DUKW underway - two stretcher cases are smoking. MS off the starboard bow of Duke of Rothesay (62), and MCU as DUKW closes on port quarter. Cut to view from DUKW as it approaches the open bow doors of US LST (279 ?) for transhipment of wounded to England. MS along waist of hospital ship - boxes of medical supplies (blood plasma) are piled on deck before being lowered to DUKW alongside. MCU as a lieutenant 1 Corps RAMC checks condition of plasma bottles on the DUKW. DUKW returns to shore - on the beach a sergeant wearing a Red Cross arm-band boards the vehicle. Cut to scene offshore, as DUKW approaches a drowned 3-ton truck under tow from a Sherman BARV - as the DUKW passes, one of the two soldiers hanging on the back of the truck gives the V-sign. Onboard cameracraft, lieutenant-commander RN stands beside the driver, looking away from the camera - his helmet bears a personal motif, a stylised rear view of an elephant.
