I. "LCT(5) 2422" disembarks a late pattern Crusader AA Mk I (Bofors) for 3 ft wade through moderate conditions to the beach. AA Mk II (Oerlikon) follows. "LCT(2) 142" disembarks M7 and M10 for 6 ft wade to shore. Experts examine the American vehicles on the beach before they re-enter the water for a long immersion test in a depth of 3 ft 6 inches. "LCT(3) 340" disembarks a Sherman M4A1 for a 6 ft wade to shore. A waterproofed universal carrier goes ashore from a LCT(5). "LCT(5) 2264" disembarks a Crusader III towing a 17-pounder anti-tank without gun shield. "LCT(2) 142" unloads Cavalier. MSs of Crusader and Cavalier tanks, and carrier parked on the beach after wading trials.
