CU of roller conveyor laid down along centre of tank deck on LCT(5) - a 3-inch snake set on metal shoes is being run out along the conveyor, beneath a Sherman parked forward. Crewmen fit new lengths of pipe onto the snake as it runs out. CU of winch rope led between two raised ribs on each length of pipe, thus providing a purchase - man frees cable with a crowbar, and leads it around attachments on a new length of pipe. CU of supporting shoe running along conveyor. CU of winch rope and double block, used to translate the action of the winch into horizontal movement. HA.MCU of hand brake on the winch drum.
