WADING TRIALS AND TESTS OF LVT(2) [Allocated Title]

Trials of US tracked amphibian, and wading trials with armour and AT guns.

I. LVT(2) comes ashore through slight surf and runs through shallows - the rear compartment is crowded with passengers.

II. MS as "LCT 2264" disembarks waterproofed Universal carrier, followed by a Crusader and a M5, each towing 17-pounder AT without gunshield. Cut to MS of "LCT 142" as she disembarks a Centaur into deep water - tank has trunked exhausts and air uptakes. MSs of Crusader and carrier parked on the beach, and M5 in the shallows - the halftrack seems to have difficulty with its load.

III. Continuation of I. Onboard LCT - LA.CU as LVT(2) reverses away from camera and down vehicle ramp into deep water. LVT makes stern way, and then moves off at full power - one of the crew lifts up rear inspection plate. Cut to HA.MS of LVT alongside, taking on cargo down loading ramp. MS from LCT as waterproofed Universal carrier disembarks to wade ashore - a DUKW is entering the water as carrier goes up the beach. MLS from beach as LVT carrying passengers comes up into shallows, circles and heads out to sea again. LVT comes ashore. LVT drives off LCT into deep water, and then circles to re-enter the craft - a spectator applauds the driver and gives A-OK sign. Final CUs of clearance between LVT and the sides of the LCT.
