Reel One. In a Northern anchorage, HMS Nelson takes on 16-inch shells from a supply boat, the Ardchattan. The shells are swung up lifted up and lowered onto individual wheeled dollies. Crewmen push these along the deck to the magazine. MS of the BPN cameraman Jim Gemmell - he pans his camera round, checks telephoto lens. Reel Two. LS silhouette off starboard beam of HMS King George V. Shot from focsle of Nelson to turrets and bridge tower - 20-barrelled rocket projectors on B turret. LS off the starboard bow as Nelson leaves the anchorage. HA sequence showing forward turrets firing over the starboard bow - 4 and 5 gun salvoes. The secondary 6-inch guns join in with full salvoes. The rate of fire from the main battery drops to 3 gun salvoes, ie single barrels per turret.
