04. Rushes: UNPROFOR soldiers on parade ground at UNPROFOR Sector North HQ in Topusko. Civilians watch from the windows of the building. A helicopter comes into land, guided by a green ground flare. Departing Force Commander Lieutenant-General Satish Nambiar inspects the soldiers and greets other senior officers. He climbs the stairs, accompanied by entourage and many journalists. He enters a meeting room and greets civilian UN staff. The Force Commander observes a briefing on military and logistic situation in Sector North. A group of officers wait inside before the Force Commander climbs into a UN car. The car drives off.

05. Rushes: At the UNPROFOR Sector North HQ, another helicopter arrives and the new Force Commander Lieutenant-General Lars-Erik Wahlgren arrives. He too inspects the soldiers, greets the officers and attends a briefing on Sector North. The different areas of the Sector are explained as are the UNPROFOR positions and activities in the Sector. The Force Commander takes notes. A different overlay is laid over the map. The officer gives information about the opposing sides in the area including details of the number of brigades and the names of the commanders. He says that there have been problems of freedom of movement for UNPROFOR in the Sector. The hot spots are the pink zones and two of the crossing points. The Force Commander asks for clarification on how the opposing sides reacted to the establishment of UN checkpoints. A Nigerian Senior Officer gives further information about the use of two checkpoints, one by the Serb side and the other by the Croatian side. He explains that the Croatian army is still in between the two checkpoints and he has asked for these soldiers to be removed. A senior UN Military Observer describes their role in Sector North. He says today, there are thirty-seven on active duty from sixteen nations. He says that they are moving into Sisak shortly.
