Two sequences of rushes: the first for "Naval Bombardment" film, the second for "Care of Explosives" film.
I. In a thicket, an observer jeep pulls up. The forward observer crew disembarks and sit up, under fire. Long shot of country farm being bombarded (explosions near farmhouse). The Royal Artillery Observers take up position and mark place on map via compasses. They note positions of falling shells. The party of four observers move forward in open country. (Two shots, same place, one with observers running, one with observers crawling forward).
II. Various shots of tug and lighters pulling alongside the cruiser HMS Superb. 4-inch shells are taken aboard from the lighter. Ammunition boxes are pulled up a chute by means of a rope.
