Short propaganda appeal focussing on "the other enemy" (Japan - "the Nazi Empire of the East").
The film gives a short history of Japanese aggression, from the attacks on China in 1937 ("the same year we were celebrating the coronation") and the sinking of the USS Panay on the Yangstse River. The subsequent apology for the Panay incident did not stop the attack on Pearl Harbor and later expansion into Malaya and Singapore, and British withdrawal. Also shown are the defence of India, the Battle of the Bismarck Sea (March 1943). The commentary stresses that "our hopes never gave up fighting the foul pestilence of Japanese militarism" and ends with an appeal to the British public to put their money into savings to help the war effort.
