The first item (which has no title) shows a line of mounted troops and a shot of artillery. the titles of the remaining items are: A Strong Right Arm - Royal Horse Guards practising sword thrusting; The Navvies' Battalion - Preparing the Alexandra Palace for the reception of German prisoners; Our Gallant Indians - cured of their wounds, returning to the front; America's Latest - The new 14 inch gun for the defence of the Panama Canal; St George's Day - Mr F R Benson on his way to lay a wreath on Shakespeare's tomb (1915); Women War Workers - Women are now employed as conductors on Glasgow Tramways; Corporal Holmes VC - whose splendid appeals bring many recruits; Scotland's Sturdy Sons - The Highland Light Infantry reviewed in Glasgow; The Soldier Boxer - recruits training under Pat O'Keefe, the middle weight champion; The Sniper Peril - is greatest whilst the trenches are relieved or provisioned; Lieutenant W G C Gladstone (Liberal MP for Kilmarnock Burghs and grandson of William Ewart Gladstone) who was killed in action is buried at Hawarden Castle.
