Full description

The Prince of Wales leaves a house to enter a car. A steam pump in operation by a canal lock, probably the Yser Canal. Troops, possibly new arrivals, entering billets. A field kitchen. Soldiers digging. A "Christmas ride to Berlin" (flashframe) showing British soldiers riding horses while wearing gasmasks. A horse obstacle-race. A "ride of the Amazons" (flashframe) of soldiers wearing skirts riding through shallow water. A ship coming into harbour. An RHA troop waiting to move off. British soldiers using a hand pump to clear a waterlogged trench.
