Object description
"Britain's gliders for invasion?"
Full description
An RAF officer describes the function of the Royal Air Force's Army Cooperation Command, first to the camera then over film of soldiers transferring from one airfield to another by glider. Army Cooperation Command gives greater mobility and speed to the Army, here seen loading equipment into a Horsa glider and taking off towed by a Whitley. Glider descends steeply before landing, thus concluding this exercise which demonstrates the close cooperation between the Army and the RAF.
