II. The Channel dash. Scharnhorst, Gneisenau and Prinz Eugen sail from Brest to Wilhelmshaven. Opening shows Gneisenau with Prinz Eugen astern, then with escorts, two torpedo boats. Messerschmitt Bf 110s fly low over torpedo boat. Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. Leberecht Maass Class destroyer signalling. Scharnhorst and Gneisenau in line astern. Alarm sequence starts with view of Scharnhorst making heavy smoke, 4.1-inch guns firing at surface targets, 2cm Flak firing, KapitÃ¤n der See Kurt Hoffmann on bridge of Scharnhorst with binoculars, RAF Wellington diving past foreground tracer, plane crashing and finally another view of Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. Item concludes with UFA end logo.
