I. 'RED CROSS WORK AT SALONIKA. An ambulance column moving over the mountain road to the Balkan Front'. MS over flat country to Australian troops on the march - all wear Red Cross armbands. Horse-drawn Red Cross wagon and casualties lying on travois pulled by mules pass by.

II. 'RICHMOND BOYS' NAVAL BRIGADE. Admiral Sir E.R. Fremantle inspects the Boys' Naval Brigade, who gave a display in aid of the "John Cornwell Cot" at the Star and Garter Home'. The Admiral - in civilian suit and bowler - inspects rank of small boys dressed in naval uniform - one boy near the camera wipes his nose to prepare himself for inspection. Spectators look on as the boys go through gun drill with suitably tiny cannon - in the background a second gun is pulled into frame by boys in harness - one has fallen over and is dragged in his traces by his more fleet companions. MS as boys go through a routine which approximately mimics the loading and firing of the gun. The Admiral is cheered by his diminutive hosts.

III. 'MR. CHURCHILL AT CHELMSFORD. The Deputy Mayor receives Mr. Winston Churchill who attended the Fete in aid of the Scottish Prisoners of War Fund'. Churchill and his wife get out of car which has pulled up in a grassy field - he is dressed in a frock coat and top hat. He delivers a speech from a platform decorated with flags. MS left profile of Churchill once more amidst the crowds, watching events - his wife stands next to him.

IV. 'INTERNED IN SWITZERLAND. English soldiers released from Germany and who are now interned in Switzerland receive every consideration from the Swiss'. Opening pan (very unsteady due to bad lacing in the camera) over soldiers sitting on the ground - some nurses are evident in the crowd of civilians about them. LS pan over seated audience of soldiers and civilians - in the front row a British and French officer are in animated conversation. 'VISITED BY THEIR WIVES. Special arrangements have been made for the wives of the soldiers to visit them at the Château d'Oex'. An elderly officer addresses a crowd from raised platform which bears a distinctive heraldic decoration (the arms of Château d'Oex or Swiss canton ?). MS of soldiers and their wives. A soldier rocks a swaddled baby in his arms.
