I. "Danish Defiance." Survey of the achievements of the Danes in fighting and protesting against the Nazi occupation. Film of the country's largest armaments' factory after being set alight by Resistance; several scuttled ships of the Danish Navy; ruins of cinemas and shops after explosions. Germans "harry and terrorise" citizens in the streets during the General Strike (film shot from a high level of people in the streets, a tank and a barricade) but eventually give in to Danish demands. Danes observe two minute silence in tribute to several hundred fallen comrades.
