II. "Mediterranean Miscellany." Troops wounded in Tunisia are hoisted aboard by stretcher onto the hospital ship Maine at Tripoli before sailing for Alexandria. Troops in the battle line gather round eagerly to receive letters from home; an unlucky soldier, obliged to find consolation in rereading an old letter, prompts the commentary to emphasise that "a few lines makes all the difference." Soldier washes himself in a tub. Stork sits on top of a windmill in its nest. Soldiers teach an Arab an English dance, then he in turn performs his local dance. Remainder of this section covers military action in Tunisia: Churchill tanks advance in the Medjez-el-Bab sector, Douglas Bostons bomb enemy troops taking cover in an orchard beside the road, while ground film show Messerschmitt Me 109s bombing Allied positions in the distance.
