II. U-boat sails through dead calm sea with school of dolphins playing alongside. Sailors play cards, while cook prepares doughnuts eaten by his comrades. Commander studies German chart of Gulf of St Lawrence. View through periscope of shore town backed by leafy wood. Sailors manoeuvre torpedo into tube and check stopwatch after firing. Ship burns on the horizon.

III. Garlanded train filled with returning French prisoners approaches Dieppe. Train is daubed with slogans -"Vive Pétain", "Dieppe ville martyre", "N'oubliez pas ceux qui restent"- which recall the British raid and promote the Relèe. Boat train signs in English still stand. Some waiting relatives weep with emotion before being reunited with their men after brief parade. French soldier accepts light from German. Fernand de Brinon, flanked by French and German officials and large Pétain backdrop, addresses the crowd outdoors.

IV. German and Italian military in Libya. German soldiers get out of truck. Italian soldiers rush into action with heavy machine gun on detachable wheels. Heavy artillery is loaded in desert. British survivors from a sunk ship come ashore under Italian guard at Tripoli and are driven off. German E-boat moored alongside is washed down. Oil drums are unloaded from a freighter and transported away past palms. Italian truck passes tank obstacles by road.

Elola reviews past year's record of magnificent acts before Franco presents youth leaders with their directives and renames organisation "Falanges Juveniles de Franco". Franco reportedly urges youth to be virile and heroic, virtuous and generous. Two Falangists wear Wehrmacht eagle badge probably denoting service in the Blue Division. Franco takes salute at marchpast. German officer watches.
