Edinburgh

Correspondence with the National Galleries of Scotland, and specifically with Stanley Cursiter, Director of the National Gallery of Scotland. A problem arose in the fact that there was no national gallery of modern art in Edinburgh, and, as there was a rule that no work should be accepted within ten years of the artist's death, the Board felt unable to accept the allocation and they were returned to the IWM.
