Blyth submitted some works in January 1942, and one was purchased for five guineas (4) (IWM:ART LD 1781).
In May 1942, Blyth submitted a sketch for a projected larger picture (16ff), although the final picture seems to have been declined. Further pictures were viewed at a meeting in January 1943 and three were purchased (LD 2686, IWM:ART LD 2687, 2688), for twelve guineas the three.
Further submissions were made, but were declined. Blyth also asked to be considered for work in the MoI's studio, but was unsuccessful.
After the war, Blyth offered more pictures to the IWM, who declined due to lack of funds. The file also includes a reprint of a presscutting which refers to Blyth (51).
