[BASIC ACCESSION RECORD] Small collection of papers relating to his service with 224th Parachute Field Ambulance (PFA) during the Second World War, including: a German postcard (Feldpost) showing a drawing of German paratroops (Fallschirmjäger); five photographs of members of 224 PFA preparing to jump, jumping (24 March 1945), and on the ground; an aerial photograph (3 March 1945); two copies of a pamphlet '224 Parachute Field Ambulance: Record of the Unit's Part in the War in Europe, 6 June 1944 to 8 May 1945' (4pp each, one copy colourised; a copy of the book 'Red + Devils: A Parachute Field Ambulance in Normandy' (Red Cross Devils) written by member of 224 PFA (129pp plus maps and forward, 1945); a copy of the booklet 'Middle East Theatre' produced for troops new to the theatre of war; a copy of the book 'Over the Rhine: a Parachute Field Ambulance in Germany' written by members of 224 PFA (May 1946); and a ts account 'Across The Reich' (25pp), written as a sequel to 'Over the Rhine', but never approved for publication, describing the 6th Airborne Division's advance from the Rhine to the Baltic as experienced by medical orderlies of the 3rd Parachute Brigade (this transcription March 1995).
