A collection of papers relating to Captain Malcolm Scott, and his brother, Captain George Scott, both of British parentage but born in Poland, working with the British Military Mission in Poland and later the Intelligence Corps, including: two certificates (1p each, in Polish), signed by Brigadier General Wladislaw Langner, Commander of Okregu Korpusu Nr VI (VI Corps Command), Lvov, the first (2 September 1939), stating that a car is registered to the French consulate, and the second (5 September 1939) that Lieutenants Malcolm and George Scott are drivers of the English Embassy in Warsaw and that they should be given every assistance by the authorities; a certificate (1p, in Polish) signed by the head of the British Military Mission, stating that Lieutenant Malcolm Scott is a member of the British Military Mission to Poland and should have freedom of movement, and that his car is also the property of the BMM (17 September 1939); two BMM Movement Orders (Nos. 3 and 6, 16 and 20 September 1939), one signed by Captain J Sholto Douglas; a letter (2pp) from David Petrie, Director General of MI5, thanking his staff for their work during the war (10 May 1945); a letter to Captain Malcolm Scott on his release from active military service (1 March 1946); an application form, with covering letter, for the award of the Defence Medal (August 1946); a letter relating to his transfer to the Territorial Army Reserve of Officers (1p, March 1950); a letter appointing him as a Temporary Specialist Officer (1p, October 1953).
