A word-processed account of the Ceremonial Remembrance of Those Lost at Sea in HMS CASSANDRA, 11 December 1944, compiled for HMS CASSANDRA Association by Dudley Mills, former Ordinary Seaman, with details of the background to the raising of a Memorial to those lost in the destroyer HMS CASSANDRA, the unveiling of the Memorial at the D-Day Museum, Southsea by Admiral Sir Jock Slater (May 1999), the annual Act of Remembrance, the Service of Remembrance and Reconcilliation to mark the 60th Anniversary of the sinking, at Portsmouth Guildhall (11 December 2004), and illustrated throughout with original annotated photographs of the events, and also including orders of service for the services of remembrance, correspondence with Dudley Mills, speeches and toasts and other items. Together with a booklet entitled 'A Long Night for the Canteen Boat: The Torpedoing and Salvage of HMS CASSANDRA, December 11th 1944' (50pp, 3rd Edition, 2003) which includes recollections by 16 survivors of the torpedoing and notes from Admiralty documents.
