A collection of ms and ts letters, postcards and airgraphs (173 folios) written to his mother (1937 - December 1943) while serving with the 2nd Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in the North West Frontier in Rawalpindi and Waziristan, India, before moving to Singapore, Malaya (August 1939), commanding OCTU cadets in Changi, Singapore, together with a recommendation for an award of the MBE for his service as a Temporary Brigade Major and Staff Officer with HQ 6th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Division (September 1944). and a ts transcription of a broadcast by Lieutenant Colonel I MacA Stewart DSO OBE MC about the part the 2nd Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders played in the Malayan Campaign (7pp). Together with a photograph album for the period in the late 1930s, showing images of India and fellow soldiers, and a scrap book containing portrait and group photographs of him and his units, his commission certificates, papers relating to his time in Korea, and post war Army service, as well as photographs and other documents relating to his father, Lieutenant Colonel A R G Wilson DSO, and his grandfather, Major General Sir Alexander Wilson KCB (circa 1900 - 2000).
