Substantial collection of papers pertaining to his work on secondment to the Nutrition Section of the European Regional Office of United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) (from the Rockefeller Foundation Health Commission), primarily at the former concentration camp at Bergen-Belsen, northern Germany, in the immediate aftermath of its liberation in April 1945 with responsibility for the supervision of the medical relief work carried out by British medical students from various London teaching hospitals, the papers comprising: transcripts of diaries and accounts written by some of the students concerning their work and experiences at Belsen, transcript of Meiklejohn's own diary from that period, reports/notes/statistical tables etc on disease (incl typhus) and starvation in the camp, 'sick, fit & death returns', post-mortem reports etc, correspondence and photographs regarding the medical students; also copy of report on 'The condition and needs of German children in the US, UK and French Zones [of Germany] by the UNICEF Survey Team' (1948), co-authored by Meiklejohn, focussing on child nutritional health and general conditions affecting it, associated paper on 'The condition of children in Western Germany' (?1948), various papers on nutrition and starvation in postwar Germany and other western European countries, transcript of Meiklejohn's diary of a tour of Germany in this period, copy of 'Final report of the Nutrition Section, Health Division, European Regional Office UNRRA' (1947) by Meiklejohn.
