40 orders, issued weekly, for No 6 (Bletchley) Platoon, Local Defence Volunteers (9 pp, June - August 1940), later Bletchley Company, 2nd Bucks Battalion, Home Guard (31pp, August 1940 - March 1941), issued by Commanding Officer H Blount from Bletchley Police Station. Together with weekly orders to all Company Commanders of 2nd Bucks Battalion Home Guard by Lieutenant Colonel E Duncombe (10pp, December 1940 - March 1941), and a copy of a message from Anthony Eden on the anniversary of the outbreak of the war congratulating the Home Guard (1p, September 1940). The orders contain details of command, duties, forms, defence, available arms and ammunition, uniforms, communications, secrecy, appointments, orders concerning crashed enemy aircraft and captured prisoners, dispatch riders, rifle competitions, exercises, and the ringing of church bells in case of invasion.
