[BASIC ACCESSION RECORD] Letters relating to his service with the Royal Corps of Signals during the Second World War; including one letter to his brother Robin while with 88 Telegraph Operating Section Tenth Army Signals, Tenth Army, PAIFORCE (2pp, October 1942), saying he is glad that Robin likes the RAF but hoping that the war ends before he gets an operational squadron "I have only one brother and though he is a bit of a twit at times I'd rather like to see him when I get back", and describing his tent; and three airgraphs and one letter to his parents from 29 Operating Section, Tenth Army (3pp, with envelopes, December 1942 - January 1943), and HQ Section Tenth Army Signals (4pp plus envelope, March 1943), talking about his new address, the cold and snowy weather, receiving mail from home, access to hot baths, lack of food, sending money home, and wishing he was home watching Everton with his father. Together with a letters from the Royal Signals Records containing a brief record of his service and a testimonial (1p, September 1960).
