Ts transciptions of sworn statements (8pp) given in proceedings on their arrival at Crefeld prisoner of war camp, Germany, 6 - 8 November 1914, by 16 witnesses, all Officers of 14 Regiments represented, of their ill treatment, with details of the 16 Officers and theIr Regiments, the dates and locations of their capture, their movements after capture, and treatment of them and their men by the Germans. The statements were smuggled out to the British Embassy in Paris (November 1914). Together with: a covering letter (1p, 1921) by Major W H Wilkins, one of the members of the committee convined, giving the circumstances; and a German ts notice (1p) to Irish prisoner of war encouraging them to fight for an Irish Brigade against the English.
