Private Papers of Lieutenant A S Lloyd MC

A collection of letters and cards written home, as well as newspaper clippings, pamphlets and other items (circa 1050 follios), relating to his service in 'C' Battery, 78th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, dated January 1914 up to his fatal wounding in August 1916, together with official notifications of his death in action and award of the Military Cross, letters of condolence from family and friends, and letters from fellow officers and men giving descriptions of Lloyd and the circumstances of his death. Also included are four photographs of Lloyd and his grave.
