Three ts letters (21pp) written to her sister Alix in Northern Ireland (August – September 1940) discussing living in the London Borough of Fulham during the Blitz, witnessing air raids and bomb damage, the difficulty of parting from her German fiancé Dietric, the public carrying on as normal as much as was possible, working in Bedford Square, London, working as an ARP Warden with her sister Beatrice, descriptions of the shelters and the Underground stations, one ts and ms letter (11pp) discussing Christmas presents, rationing, visits to the theatre and cinema, and daily life (January 1942), together with a photograph album (55pp) showing her with Dietric in Devon, Cornwall, Denmark, Romania, Yugoslavia, France, Switzerland and Italy (August 1939 – May 1940), her passport with stamps covering the same period, a ts letter (1p) written by the Post Warden to Winifred standing her down and a ts letter (1p) from the District Warden thanking her for her services (May 1945), two certificates issued by the Metropolitan Borough of Fulham to Winifred and Beatrice Musson for their service as Wardens in the Council's Civil Defence Organisation (March 1946), five photographs of Winifred Musson, two photographs of Winifred with her sister Beatrice, two photographs of Beatrice, two photographs of Beatrice's American fiancé (before she broke off the engagement after contracting polio), three photographs of Winifred's fiancé Dietric, who was later apparently killed in Stalingrad, and a photograph of bomb damaged buildings.
