Outstanding collection of papers assembled by the intelligence officer of F Section, Special Operations Executive (1941 - 1945), comprising her working files collated during service with SOE, and with the war crimes unit of the Judge Advocate General's Office, 1946 - 1947, containing correspondence, statements, depositions and interrogations principally in English, French and German relating to German counter espionage and to Allied agents (especially to Odette Sansom and to Violette Szabo, Noor Inayat Khan and other female SOE agents who were murdered by the enemy) as well as to others imprisoned in Nazi run concentration camps and jails; an ms account (48pp in German) written in 1945 by the senior doctor at Auschwitz concentration camp, Dr Eduard Wirths; correspondence (mainly post war in date) with former agents and their relatives; files on individual SOE personnel, including head of F Section, Colonel Buckmaster, and general files on SOE; papers relating to post war memorials to agents and events commemorating members of resistance movements and inmates of concentration camps; papers relating to the Special Forces Club; papers relating to published and unpublished material on and by SOE agents and to film and television programmes relating to SOE; presscuttings, photographs and illustrations; also autobiographical accounts relating to her service 1941 - 1947, papers relating to her work as an ARP warden in Chelsea, 1940 - 1943, and for the Central Bureau for Educational Visits and Exchanges, 1948 - 1980, as well as papers relating to her family and personal life.
