Four boxes of official papers collated while he was serving as Military Assistant to the Chief of the Imperial General Staff, Field Marshal Lord Alanbrooke, from 1943 - 1946, comprising administrative files covering the Allied conferences at Casablanca (January 1943), Washington (May - June 1943), Quebec (August 1943), Teheran (November 1943), Cairo (November - December 1943), Quebec (August 1944), Malta (January 1945) and Yalta (January - February 1945) with a wealth of detail about all aspects of the conferences and including letters from Lord Mountbatten (May 1943), sketches by Alanbrooke, cover stories for delegates and copies of telegrams sent to and by the Prime Minister and the War Office; also papers relating to a world tour undertaken by the CIGS in October 1945, a script for a BBC programme about Lord Alanbrooke and documents relating to the honorary degree awarded to Alanbrooke by Oxford University in 1945.
