Bound photocopy (234pp) of a partial ts transcript of his diary, October 1942 - April 1943, August - September 1943, January - December 1944 and May - October 1945, covering his voyage from the United Kingdom to India via Nigeria, Aden and Oman and his service in the RAF as a Flight Commander on No 99 Squadron RAF flying Wellingtons from Digri (December 1942 - September 1943), then with No 355 Squadron RAF based at Salbani (September 1943 - February 1944), as Group Wing Commander Training at Group HQ Calcutta (February - September 1944), as Commanding Officer No 99 Squadron RAF based principally at Dhubalia flying Liberators (September 1944 - April 1945), and finally as CO of No 159 Squadron, a Pathfinder Squadron based at Digri (April - October 1945), with useful references to his thoughts and feelings on being exposed to danger and on separation from his wife and good descriptions of operations over Burma and Thailand with references to bombing raids, intruder patrols and air sea rescue and to the problems caused by inclement weather, faulty aircraft and mountainous terrain and mention of specific incidents, some fatal, involving the crash landing or loss at sea of aircraft.
