Ts carbon copy of an interrogation report (25pp), with ts transcription (31pp), compiled after he was debriefed at the London headquarters of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) in December 1944, covering in detail his activities as an SOE agent from 12 June 1944 onwards with graphic descriptions of his repeated attempts to cross from Spain into France after having been flown to Gibraltar, his journey to Paris by train when he narrowly avoided detection by the Gestapo and his adventures masquerading as a German Ordnance Officer prior to leaving the French capital shortly before it fell to the Allies, as well as his later work in Belgium, principally in Ghent, where he established an escape line, together with duplicated ts instructions (6pp) for the encryption of messages and wireless codes for use by SOE agents, diary notes for 1947 and August 1946 covering his work as an interpreter at Westonacres prisoner of war camp (No 239(G)) at Woodmansterne near Banstead, Surrey, documents and photographs relating to his wartime service including a short biography (3pp) and correspondence relating to 'No Passport - The Story of Jan Felix' by Madelaine Duke, which retells his life story up to the end of the Second World War, and a copy of the book, which was published in 1957. Captain Hilton was born Hans F J Jeschke, aka Jan Felix, or John Felix Hilton.
