Interesting collection of papers covering his service as an Anglo-Frenchman with the RAFVR at various stations in the United Kingdom and as a wireless operator with Special Operation Executive (SOE)'s F Section in occupied France, April - November 1943 (TINKER network, code name 'Honoré'), and March - July 1944 (MINISTER network, code name 'Stéphane' and INNKEEPER, and false identity 'Charles Meunier') until his imprisonment by the Gestapo at Fresnes and Buchenwald and execution in October 1944. The papers include 17 ms letters to his sister (March 1940 - February 1944) covering his activities in London, concern for their parents in Paris and with veiled references to his SOE activities; 2 ms letters (9pp in French, November 1945) to his parents from his cellmate at Fresnes, Emile Stephan, with details of their imprisonment; printed papers of his sister, Mrs J Morrison, relating to her service as a coder with FANY (1942 - 1945); official ms and ts correspondence concerning his service with SOE and arrest by the Gestapo (4pp); identity documents issued to him under a false name (8 items); photographs and lists of codes.
