Photocopies of 3 ts accounts (total 14pp) of his service with the Special Operations Executive (SOE) No 1 Special Force in the East Friuli region of North Italy as part of the SERMON II Mission, August 1944 - January 1945, in which he describes training Italian partisans in sabotage and demolition work and refers to their living conditions, together with copies of correspondence about his SOE activities and of various SOE documents including the report written by him with Captain R G Taylor on SERMON II (two ts copies, each 18pp) and a report on the COOLANT Mission (30pp), also two identity discs, his RAC badge and other items relating to his military service and membership of the Special Forces Club, copies of 17 photographs of him and other SOE agents in Italy, 1944 - 1945, a print showing the Inter Services Mission, Saigon, March 1946, the AB64 and identity disc issued to his wife, Betty (nee Harris), when she joined the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) and service papers and other items relating to his father, P Godwin, who served in the Royal Field Artillery (RFA), 1916 - 1918.
