Various documents of Mrs Doris Winter: her school exercise book from the Third Reich period in Germany containing notes on 'Rassenkunde' (Racial Science); Nazi pamphlet 'Biologische Praxis' dated 1934, concerning the history of physiognomy and `craniology'; offprint from the 'Koelnische Zeitung' newspaper of July 1940 with an article on the weakening of Britain as an 'island stronghold'; 2 death certificates issued in the Theresienstadt ghetto in January - March 1943, confirming that the deaths of Margarete and Salomon Bohm (parents of Mrs Winter's aunt) have been recorded in the ghetto's Register of Deaths (`Sterbematrik'); a small quantity of letters (with associated postcards) written by Mrs Winter's grandfather Anselm Rosenfeld from Neuwied (Rhineland) to his daughters during and shortly after the First World War. Also includes a print portraying a Jewish person being pointed at by fingers, given on 5th March 1939 in Haifa, as a 21st birthday gift.
