20 prisoner-of-war letters and postcards written between June 1941 - June 1944 by Hugo Wegner (Vegner), a Jugoslav soldier in German captivity, to his parents in Belgrade - mostly in Serbo-Croat (?) but some in German, sent from Stalag VIB (Neu Versen), VIC (Bathorn) and VIF (Bocholt) in Westphalia, also an official note issued to his father Jaksa Wegner by the local German army authorities in July 1941 certifying that he had participated in rubble clearance and reconstruction work at Smederovo; together with a number of official documents, mostly in Serbo-Croat (?) and concerning the Jewish community in Belgrade under German occupation, including also a note issued in November 1941 by the `Special Police for Jews' confirming that Selma Djerasi is not Jewish and therefore does not need to wear the relevant identification, and a letter dated August 1942 to her from the local German army billeting office requesting that she provide accommodation for a homeless lady.
