Various official documents and correspondence concerning Ernst Rosenbaum, with a few relating to his brother Josef, including: certificate of identity as a political refugee from Germany, issued in Strasburg in April 1933, together with his application for a French Identity Card; his German passport issued to him by the German Embassy in London in 1937; 'Heimatschein' (Certificate of Nationality) issued to Josef in 1938; two letters dated 1940 from the office of the High Commissioner for Refugees, London, certifying that Ernst and his brother have been denationalised by the German government; several letters dated May 1942 from the Central Medical War Committee in London concerning Ernst's applications for a commission in the Medical Branch of the RAF and in the RAMC; and two British naturalisation certificates issued to Josef and his wife Paula (1947).
