Interesting ts memoir (117pp) briefly describing his service with the Special Operations Executive (SOE) (1941 - 1944), initially as an arms instructor to Danish and Norwegian agents (January - May 1941), in West Africa training local soldiers and carrying out operations against Vichy held territories (May - December 1941), his involvement with Operation POSTMASTER, a raid to seize Axis shipping on the West African island of Fernando Po (January 1942) and his subsequent transfer to Meerut, India with Force 136 (December 1942 - December 1943); then describing in some detail (and with extracts from an original diary) his service alongside the Vercors Maquis on Operation EUCALYPTUS, a mission to train Maquisards and identify suitable parachute drop zones for supplies (July - August 1944), in particular his experiences of the battle, evasion of German troops and escape to Switzerland. The memoir is accompanied by two ts accounts of Operation POSTMASTER, one by Longe (48pp) and one thought to be by Lieutenant Colonel Leonard Dismore (10pp).
