Papers relating to his service with F Section of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) in Limoges and Troyes, northern France, where he helped establish the TINKER circuit in 1943 (Field name 'Benoit', Operational name 'Blackthorn', aka 'Jean Francois Villeneuve'), comprising false identity papers and documents issued by the French Resistance (1941 - 1944), post-war correspondence mainly relating to his service with SOE and his involvement with French Resistance veterans' organisations (1945 - 1993), transcripts of speeches given by Cowburn (undated), publications relating to the French Resistance and Free French (c.1942 - 1993), newspaper cuttings relating to his service with SOE (1944 - 1992), together with his Army identity tags and Special Forces badge.
