Papers relating to his service as a wireless operator with F Section of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) in the Lot region of France (January - late 1944) where he was known by the codenames EUSTACHE and CAPITAINE MICHEL whilst operating in Major G F Hiller's FOOTMAN circuit, comprising ms and ts lists of BBC coded messages, drop zone locations and personnel, ts and ms transcriptions of enciphered and deciphered wireless messages (c.1944), a ts list of material held at a depot (c.1944), an ms list of call signs and transmission times (c.1944), post war ms and ts correspondence and papers mainly relating to his SOE service (1948 - 1965), a file of commemorative programmes and French newspaper cuttings relating to Resistance activity in the Lot (1940s - 1960s) along with a ts monograph (137pp) written by C W Kempson regarding French Resistance activity in the Lot following D-Day, with particular reference to the progress of the SS Panzer Division 'Das Reich' through the Quercy area.
