Microfilm copy of an ms Pilot's Flying Log Book covering his service February 1915 - July 1917, starting in the United Kingdom, posting to the RN Air Station, Eastbourne (March 1915), instruction in flying sea planes and moving to Dundee and then Montrose, detailing patrol duties off the east coast of Scotland, and then serving on aircraft carrier HMS VINDEX (November 1915) until December 1915 when he crashed on Felixstowe cliffs, and then aircraft carrier HMS ENGADINE (January 1916), including an abortive raid on the Tondern sheds (4 May 1916), experiments with bomb and torpedo attacks from the air on warships and spotting work for the Battle Cruiser Fleet; together with an ms Pilot's Flying Log Book covering his service with No 2 Wing RNAS in the Eastern Mediterranean, August 1917 - October 1918, describing training flights from Imbros, the escort of bombing raids on Smyrna and Chanak, a mid-air collision in which his aircraft was wrecked (19 October 1917), reconnaissance flights over the Gallipoli peninsula, bombing Suvla and the seaplane station at Nagara Point, fights with German aircraft, attacks against the GOEBEN and BRESLAU, and then patrols and raids over Salonika including the Struma front.
