Photocopied ms account (71pp), written in French and accompanied by a ts translation, 1943 - 1945, of her life as a volunteer in a German labour camp (Arbeitslager), as a teacher in Szugken, south east of Tilsit, and her experiences as a refugee, providing vivid descriptions of camp life and work on surrounding farms, her work on a Konigsberg tram, in a metal factory and setting up a school, providing an insight into the havoc caused to communications and civilian life by the Allied bombing in January 1945; she describes her attempt to escape the advancing Russians, attacks from Partisans, Russians and Germans and their trek across Prussia reaching Munich where she was arrested by the Americans and handed over to the Russians from whom she finally escaped. Together with a photocopy of a map showing her trek as a refugee.
